I've been going to Players for years. Best burgers in the city. Ping pong and pool. Total neighborhood vibe. My favorite bar in the city.

Great, low key neighborhood spot for a drink. Dying breed in the area. Bring cash or prepare to use the ATM. Tables for pool, and their bar cook Charlie is awesome and makes an amazing burger.

This place is a hidden gem. Great great atmosphere and friendlier staff and patrons. It's truly a real life Cheers. Bunch of games to play and a TV always willing to be changed for their customers. Food is pretty alright. Just a grill behind the bar but it pumps out a lot in a short time. Cook brings it out to you, what a treat or is to have a place like this in town

It's ok. Has a couple of pool tables, ping pong, and darts. Gets very loud and crowded as it is a sports bar. Wasn't up my alley, but I know people who enjoy it there.

Stopped in to watch a lunchtime Badger basketball game on a recent Friday. Staff are friendly, and the burgers are great. Try their homemade potato chips!

Top quality bar food hands down. Whip whipped me up a great medium rare burger with cheesy tots. Great food, people, and atmosphere.

Players collected winter clothing for people that are homeless. I'm a homeless outreach working for Porchlight that will be distributing the coats to people in need. So it's not just a great neighborhood Bar the couple that owns it are wonderful people.

Everytime we are in town to visit our son and daughter, he takes us down to this friendly little bar for a drink and sandwich. The staff at this pub are attentive and professional. Great drummies and onion rings for lunch ( or a healthier menu if you want it)! A casual atmosphere, yet every customer treated with respect and appreciation for their patronage. Go there! You won't be disappointed!

I think they have the best burgers on the east side and the price is really good too staff is really friendly and never have to wait no matter how busy it is

Atmosphere was a little timid. Bartender was nice. Dart board was located by a back entrance to the kitchen so we were constantly being interrupted. The people in there were mostly locals and they looked super scary!

Players is what it appears to be from the outside. It's an unabashed dive bar. The clientele is an assortment of sad cases, the food is disgusting, the prices are cheap, there's always a crowd of people cranking butts in front of the exits. If you're looking for a cheap spot to watch sports and drink this is it. If you're looking to meet your future wife I'd skip it.
